Dr. Ranjit Bariki

Postdoctoral Fellow

Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Department

United Arab Emirates University, UAE

Bio

Mr. Ranjit Bariki was born in Paradip, Odisha, India in December 1993. He has completed his Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) with Chemistry Hons. from Department of Chemistry, Sarala Mohavidyalaya, Rahama, Utkal University, Odisha, India.

After completing B.Sc., he has joined the School of Chemistry, Sambalpur University to complete Master's degree. In, 2015, he has received M.Sc. degree in Inorganic Chemistry. In 2016, he joined the School of Chemistry Sambalpur University to complete Master of Philosophy and obtained his M.Phil. degree in 2017.

In July 2018, he joined as Doctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of Professor B. G. Mishra, Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. Here, he worked on design of MOF and MOF derived porous functional nanomaterials for photocatalytic Renewable energy production (HER, NRR & ORR) and environmental remediation. In addition, he has also been worked on various projects including fabrication of Bi-based metal oxide/sulfide heterostructures for photocatalytic renewable energy production (HER).

In 2023, He has completed his doctoral research (Ph. D) and Joined as Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Chemistry, American University of Sharjah, UAE. Currently, My research focus on rational design of highly stable and efficiency MOF derived Carboneous Metal and metal oxide materials and Porous Organic Framework (POP) for photo-electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. His professional goal is to be a foremost academician, consultant and researcher in the field of Materials Science and his current research focus on the synthesis of various Metal Organic Framework (MOF), MOF derived porous functional nanomaterials, Transitional Metal Sulfides (TMS) and Covalent Organic Framework (COF) materials by using green and sustainable route for photocatalytic and electrocatalytic renewable energy production and environmental application. Currently working as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Chemical & Petroleum Engineering Department, United Arab Emirates University, UAE. His research focused on fabrication of MOF-derived single atom, metal oxide/phosphide hybrid materials for multimodal catalytic application (Photo-electrocatalytic CO2 reduction & Dry Reforming of Methane).
